Exciting News for Pageantry!

We are thrilled to share that, for the first time in history, a Pageant Chaplain will be present at a National Competition! This innovative initiative is designed to provide contestants with the emotional support and guidance they need during this exhilarating yet often overwhelming experience.

Competing can bring a mix of emotions—stress, excitement, and even a sense of sadness as the event comes to an end. We recognize the challenges contestants face, which is why we are proud to partner with Prime Pageants and our dedicated Chaplain, Lisa Northway. With her valuable pageant experience and calming presence, Lisa is here to help contestants feel supported and empowered to shine throughout the competition.

A heartfelt thank you to Prime Pageants for this incredible opportunity. Together, we are committed to enhancing the pageant experience for all!

The Church Lobby
Conversations on Faith & Ministry Podcast

I’m thrilled to share my recent conversation on The Church Lobby: Conversations On Faith And Ministry podcast! In this episode, I had the privilege of speaking with Karl Vaters about what it means to continue serving in ministry beyond traditional retirement age.

As some of you may know, in the U.S. military, retirement is mandatory at 62. However, I’ve been granted the unique opportunity to extend my service as a U.S. Army Garrison Chaplain, currently stationed at Fort Sill, OK. It’s an honor to be called the “Grandma Moses” of the Army Chaplaincy, embracing the joy of ministry and mentoring others even past what is considered “normal” retirement.

In this episode, we discuss:

- The value of long-term experience in today’s ministry environment

- How to pace yourself for the long-term

- Ways to ensure you’re supporting, not blocking, the path for younger ministers

- Effective strategies for mentoring the next generation of ministry leaders

I’d love for you to listen, reflect, and share your thoughts! You can check out the episodeEp 89: Vibrant Ministry After Retirement Age, with Lisa Northway . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v63pOCLIYwE

Thank you for your continued support and engagement as we journey together in faith and service.
